As a result of the sad death of Mark Sugden that we reported in June, Surrey CC will
hold a by-election on 21 August to choose a new councillor for the short period until
the 2026 elections to the new unitary authorities. Mark was a good supporter of
Oxshott and FEDORA and we hope his successor will be equally supportive.
Surrey will provide further details. This is an important election so, if you are due to
be away, please consider arranging a postal vote. This must be done by 5pm on 6
August via the Elmbridge website.
