As discussed at the FEDORA AGM the application for development at The Paddocks is due to be considered at an Elmbridge Planning Committee meeting on 10 November. The County Highways Authority has withdrawn their original objection to the scheme. The reason for the change of recommendation, results from a new proposal that a 2 metre wide shared walking and cycle route should be provided across the Blundel Lane railway bridge and to allow space for this a “signalised one-way working “ scheme would be implemented for vehicles.
The Stoke D’Abernon action group has provided this request to its supporters and has asked us to make Oxshott residents aware. The 31 October deadline is suggested because papers for the meeting with officer recommendations will be finalised and distributed by 3 November.
